Callum eased his BMW in the tight space at Breathless. The parking lot was full. He wasn’t sure who was going. Definitely Adam and maybe Derek. He hoped Joe would be there.

There was a dance floor at Breathless. It was more a nightclub than a BDSM club. There were cornered off areas for members and a few private rooms, but the dance floor and bar were open to anybody. Callum always wondered how they managed to police it, but Derek, who had been a member for a few years said the private membership of the club was actually very small. He’d grinned and added the bouncers were massive.

Lee had been dragged onto the dance floor by Adam as soon as they arrived. Callum settled down with Derek and was pleased when Joe joined them.

Joe nodded over at the subs dancing. “Your boy’s got some serious moves.”

Callum gazed at the dance floor. Lee had his head flung back, eyes closed, arms raised, hips gyrating to some dance number Callum had never heard before.

He shrugged as best he could when his entire body became rock hard. “Not my boy.”

Derek raised his eyebrows in disbelief and Joe guffawed. “Since when?”

Callum downed his beer. “Since we agreed we weren’t exclusive. I’m just providing training. He needs someone prepared for a long-term commitment. That’s not me.”

He glared at Joe, defying him to argue.

Derek immediately turned his attention to the dance floor. “So you have no objections if I approach?”

Yes. “No, be my guest. But he is under my protection.” Callum ground the words out and missed the small smile that Derek successfully hid.

“I’m going to the bar.” Joe stood up. Callum heard the censure.

Derek excused himself to talk to some other members that had just walked in. Lee and Adam collapsed on the sofa, eagerly reaching for the cokes that Callum had bought. Lee sat on the sofa furthest away from him. Callum’s hands itched. He wanted to pull him onto his knee.

Derek rejoined the group. Callum noticed he deliberately sat next to Lee. Lee seemed surprised and shot a look straight at Callum. Callum set down his second drink that Joe had brought back before he drained it in one go, and stood to go get some water. He wasted time at the bar. He clutched his glass of water so tight when he saw Derek’s hand drop to Lee’s thigh he was surprised it didn’t shatter, but Lee tried to inch away from Derek’s hand. Good. Damn smarmy doctor.

A blond female sub kneeled and presented herself before Joe. Joe whispered something to her and they both stood. Well, at least someone was going to have a good night. Callum laughed shortly and looked back at the boys, but it wasn’t Lee’s face that immediately caught Callum’s attention, it was Adam’s. The brief look of total agony had been chiseled onto Adam’s face as he saw Joe walking away.

Oh my God, poor kid. So that’s how it was. Callum shook his head. Joe was straight.
